The night after that li'l scene at the resto, we decided to go on clubbing since we haven't done that in a while. We went to the Spotlight and ordered margaritas for ourselves. It was a Sunday night and the crowd was overwhelming, despite the fact that there's school tomorrow. I know what you're thinking. Highschoolers like us shouldn't be allowed in here, but with the right mix of looks and class, we can surely pass as college girls - in a good way of course.
Everyone was dancing to a Cobra Starship song, passing drinks here and there. It also came to my awareness that a bunch of highschool guys are here, and a particular group of three was looking directly at us. A minute or two passed and a waiter appeared in front of us, with three margaritas in his metal tray.
We didn't order that. Kat said as coolly as she could, eyeing the waiter. I let myself sink lower to the couch, only to survey those guys from the corner of my left eye.
Ma'am, the guys out there told me to give these to you. The waiter explained, casually pointing to their direction. The said guys waved and smiled at us.
Oh. Admirers. Lia chuckled. We'll take it. Tell them we said thanks. She added then the waiter put the glasses on our table. He then went to the guys' direction and prolly told them what Lia said.
I can't believe there are guys who still do this kind of thing. Kat said, rolling her eyes. They can just walk to us and introduce themselves without too much drama. Is that a hard thing to do? I smirked at her sentiment, and found myself agreeing with what she said.
Well atleast we don't have to pay for these. Lia commented, getting and drinking her share.
Kat continued babbling about how guys could be so goodie goodie from the start then turn all evil at the next minute while I was exchanging meaningful glances at one of the guys who gave us the drinks. He smiled at me, the blue light glistened his teeth, making his aura fierce.
Let's get to the dancefloor. I blurted out after that long exchange of glances with a cute stranger.
Thank goodness you said that! Lia exclaimed, rising from the couch. Kat stood up too but didn't say anything. We walked to the dancefloor and swayed to that just one night that couldn't be so wrong.
The song changed to someone else's first kiss when a guy walked towards me with a glass on his hand.
Hey. He croaked then touched the small part of my back. I lifted my head only to find out that it was the guy earlier, smiling hugely at me. I pushed his hand away and didn't even bother to reply.
And no more books
I got a kiss under the bleachers
Hoping that nobody looks
I see you're pretty much enjoying with your friends eh? He tried again, but he still didn't get a reply.
On the way to the bar
I got you on my list
He looked at his side for a while before leaning closer to me. You really don't want to talk to me, do you? He breathed, and I couldn't help but look at him straight to his eyes.
You smell like dogshit so please stop leaning closer.
He immediately stepped backward then looked at me incredulously. I can't believe you just said that. He chuckled, amused but not offended, I guess? After flirting with me with those stares a while ago, you're now saying I smell like dogshit? He leaned again, not minding my deadly stare.
First off, I wasn't flirting with you. I was actually scrutinizing your looks at the back of my mind. Second, I really don't talk to dogs with a high level of self-esteem. I said then pushed him away. Hey Lia, I'll just go and get some drink.
Despite the noise, she understood what I said and even replied with, Alright Jas.
I left the dancefloor then proceeded to the bar counter and took the empty seat in the corner.
Screwdriver. I told the bartender as soon as I was settled.
Make it two. A voice behind me said and I didn't need to look back to know who it was. I heaved a sigh in frustration. You should've told me you wanted screwdriver para yun na lang inorder namin sa inyo kanina. He said, taking a seat beside me. I stared at the ceiling and wished I was sober enough to punch his
Hey Jas. He started again, and I felt my eyes throwing daggers at him when he called my name. But he just smiled at my irritated expression. You're way prettier when you're smiling. He said, reaching out to me.
Don't you dare touch me. I spat and he instantly raised his hands in surrender.
Owkei. He said, grinning at me. You know what, I just wanted to get to know you. But since you're not in the mood, I'll just do my part. He stood up then smoothed his shirt. I'm Seth Saavedra.
I don't care whoever you are. I hissed.
I think you should. My brow shot up in disgust.
Cuz I'm your future boyfriend.
